IP55 - switches and sockets

  • Ingress of dust is not totally prevented but dust does not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with satisfactory operation of the equipment.

  • Water projected by a nozzle against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect.

Ingress Protection (IP55)

The Hager IP55 range has clear silicon gaskets which allows identification of switch position without lifting the cover. The products are rated to IP55 in accordance to BS EN 60529 to provide high level of ingress protection.

1. Total protection

IP55 switches can be operated through the clear membrane, thereby maintaining full IP55 rating.

2. Ease of fixing

20mm conduit knockouts are available on all 4 sides.

3. Convenience

Status of the switch ON/OFF can be seen through the clear membrane.
